Reimbursement of dissertation printing costs

The Council of Deans has decided that for the printing cost of the 10 copies of the thesis that should be made available at the University of Maastricht, there will be given an allowance of € 0.36 per printed page.
See sample letter 12 in the PhD regulations for the declaration form for receiving this reimbursement.

Reimbursement by Faculties and Departments

Besides this fee fixed by the Council of Deans for the obligation to hand in copies, in most faculties arrangements are made for a contribution towards the printing costs. However, rules differ for each faculty. If on a particular faculty no fixed rules exist then feel free to inform, after all; Faculties also receive money from the governement for PhD students.

The budget of the Ministry of Education and Science is a fixed amount. This depends on the budget and the number of PhDs in a given year. The final amount is distributed by the government between the PhD students. So the more candidates, the less money for individual faculties. One can also inquire about the department's own contributions to the costs. Below is an explanation of the various regulations per faculty.
