No later than 5 months before the degree ceremony
- Approval by supervisor(s) of the dissertation
- Request for admission to the degree ceremony, submitted to the Board of Deans, also including the original of the certificate that provides access to the degree ceremony 4
- Acceptance of the thesis, as well as proposal to the Dean for the composition of the Assessment Committee 5
- No later than 4½ months before the degree ceremony
- Proposal by the Dean to the Board of Deans for the composition of the Assessment Committee 6
- Appointment of the Assessment Committee by the Chairman of the Board of Deans
- Members of the Assessment Committee receive the thesis from the supervisor/doctoral candidate
No later than 3 months before the degree ceremony
- Statement by the Assessment Committee regarding the defence of the dissertation 7
- Setting the date for the degree ceremony with the secretariat of the Board of Deans
- Submitting the title page and reverse of the title page to the secretariat of the Board of Deans 8
- Approval of the propositions by supervisor(s) 9
- Confirmation of admission to the degree ceremony, stating the time 10
- Printing the dissertation
No later than 3 weeks before the degree ceremony
- Proposal by the supervisor(s) for the composition of the Supervisory Committee 11
- Sending dissertations to the members of the Supervisory Committee
- Submitting 40 copies of the dissertation to the secretariat of the Board of Deans (including the propositions)
- Applying for reimbursement for the 40 copies submitted 12
- Discussing the scenario for the degree ceremony (use of any visual aids, reception, names and addresses of assistants, etc.)
No later than 1 week before the degree ceremony
- Submission by the supervisor(s) of a proposal for the sequence of the members of the opposition to the Rector —
- Sending the scenario
